It has begun construction of a production facility at the Mojave, Calif. “Air and Space Port” that would build the world’s first fleet of commercial spaceships.

Former Grumman President Dies

A retired president of Grumman Aerospace of New York, Joseph Gavin, died Oct. 31 at his home in Amherst, Mass. at the age of 90.

Massive Naval Air Celebration Due In SD

Lockheed Has Merry Christmas

Lockheed Martin Corp. has received a fourth production contract for 31 more F-35 Joint Strike Fighters valued at $3.48 billion.
Lockheed said will build 16 planes for the U.S. Marine Corps configured for short takeoffs and vertical landings, 10 for the Air Force version of the jet, four Navy models and one for the United Kingdom.

F22 Pilot Killed In Crash

An Air Force team has recovered the remains of F22 pilot Capt. Jeff Haney of the 525th Fighter Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, who lost contact Nov. 16 with air traffic control at 7:40 p.m. local time.
