Live the dream, live with your aircraft

Pine Mountain Lake Airport is a community of aviation-oriented individuals who have realized that dream. Whether you work or are retired, you will feel like you are on vacation all the time.
Highlights include an 18-Hole Championship Golf Course, Tennis, Stables, Country Club, Pool, Campgrounds, 200-Acre Lake for boating, fishing, swimming, and skiing, and, best of all, the Airport/Airpark.
Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of central California, we are just 26 miles from Yosemite National Park. The 3000’ elevation is above the valley fog and below the snow.
Ski areas are only a 90-minute drive and it is a short flight from all of California’s major metropolitan areas - Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento.
Pine Mountain Lake Airport has a very active General Aviation community. Our flying club has about 500 members and lots of activities.
The one thing that epitomizes our airport community is our love of flying. We have an eclectic mix of pilots and planes. Our aviation community consists of low-time new pilots to old-time WW II fighter and bomber pilots and everything in between.
Wayne Handley gives aerobatic instruction in his Extra 300. Clay Lacy, who has just been inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame, has a weekend home here. The planes on the field make up an airshow of their own - PT 22’s, J3’s, Stearmans, Waco’s, Citation Jet, King Air’s, Clay’s Lear, several Extra 300’s, Luscombes, Cessna 140, many home-builts, several helicopters, and all the normal spam cans from Wichita.
Pine Mountain Lake Airport is owned and maintained by Tuolumne County.
