Independence Air Park OK With Feds

Designated as a model “Thru-the-Fence” agreement by the FAA.  Independence Airpark Oregon: 7S5 2935’ x 60’ paved, lit, state owned runway.

Runway access fee $180 per year. HOA’s $200/year. Centrally located one hour drive to Portland, Pacific Ocean Coast and Cascade Mountains.

“The right approach to airpark living.” Independence Airpark is comprised of over 180 homes in an active flying community with many adjacent taxiways. Enjoy good flying weather most of the year at an elevation of 176 MSL.

Average rainfall is between 40 to 50 inches with clear periods and snowfall is quick to melt and rare.

The Airpark is situated in a small town with quick commute to Capitol city of Salem, one hour from the metropolitan city of Portland. Western Oregon State University, is in the neighboring town of Monmouth, five minutes away.

Travel south 30 minutes to Corvallis and the home of Oregon State University. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to snow and the coast only one hour to snow skiing, water sports, fresh water and ocean fishing.

There are many activities available at the park including annual RV fly-in, Bi-plane fly-in, Memorial Day flying events, 4th of July Fly-in events/pancake feed, ice cream social in the summer months, and airpark Christmas party to name a few.

For the ladies at the airpark there is a Bunco club, bowling league, Red Hats, card club and Fiber Arts club. The field offers a fantastic “Starduster” restaurant, a flight school, two excellent repair facilities and fuel are available. Low crime rate and the feeling of security is high.

Low HOA fees and runway access fees. Custom homes currently available are of the highest quality with expansive floor plans, views and upper-end features.
