Ride In A Real WW II Warbird

If you always wanted to ride in a WW II SNJ/AT-6 advanced trainer or a PT-19A primary trainer, your wish may come true.

This unforgettable flight is also a great surprise for someone special. Call the museum and make your reservation.

Most airplane rides are on Saturdays, and photo opportunities preserving the moments. The museum has something for everyone!

The A6M3 Japanese Zero used in the movie Pearl Harbor is always a hit with the visitors as well as the F6F “Hellcat” and F8F “Bearcat” (the first two types of aircraft flown by the Blue Angels flying team). You never know when one or more will go out for a spin and make a few passes in front of the visitors.

They are real crowd pleasers!

The Royal Air Force Spitfire is in maintenance and will be flying by fall. When that happens it will be trying to steal the attention like the new guy on campus.

The competition will be stiff among these fighters! Three other aircraft are in restoration.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays members of the CAF are working on the aircraft. The B-25/PBJ Marine Corps Bomber is looking more like an airplane. This aircraft was featured on the History Channel a couple of years ago.

The original Russian Yak 3 (the only original Yak of its type in the U.S.) is always “holding down the fort.”

The C-46 transport “China Doll” is on the ramp or in the Museum hangar.

The museum displays are always growing and changing and the library is always available for research and pleasure.

Commemorative Air Force Southern California Wing Museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. six days a week (closed Mondays) at Camarillo Airport off the 101 frwy. Call (805) 482-0064 or see www.orgsites.com/ca/caf-socal and www.cafsocal.com.
